Marshall County Humane Society requires an appointment to show an animal since we are all volunteer. We do also require a home visit before finalizing adoption to check  the security of your fence if you are adopting a dog.  Our dogs are given much care and attention and we want to make sure they are in a safe and secure environment. We are  a limited intake adoption center and an all volunteer, non-profit organization. All of our animals are disease free, have been spayed/neutered and are up to date on shots. We charge a Dog adoption fee of $150 which includes a microchip. Our Cat adoption fee is $95.00. Most of our dogs will require a fenced yard. Pippa is an older dog (8)  and she has been with another dog all her life so we feel she would do best if she has a dog companion.  Also she has had mammary tumors which we had removed.  The vet does tell us she is likely to have them recur.  So that will be additional veterinary expense. She is a very sweet dog and still very playful. We took her recently when her family had to give her up due to health reasons.

All our animals have been spayed or neutered and up to date on all preventives and shots and we are microchipped.  Dog adoption fee is $125.
