Marshall County Humane Society requires an appointment to show an animal since we are all volunteer. We do also require a home visit before finalizing adoption to check  the security of your fence if you are adopting a dog.  Our dogs are given much care and attention and we want to make sure they are in a safe and secure environment. We are  a limited intake adoption center and an all volunteer, non-profit organization. All of our animals are disease free, have been spayed/neutered and are up to date on shots. We charge a Dog adoption fee of $150 which includes a microchip. Our Cat adoption fee is $95.00. Most of our dogs will require a fenced yard. HAMILTON, the Happy Husky…  He’s oh so social OMGoodness. He loves running with another dog. He’s hopeful for a runner in his new family or some lively kids who can match his energy. He’s so handsome..is your heart aflutter? He enjoys humane contact; loves flirting with our volunteers.  He had to undergo heartworm treatment, but now testing negative and feeling healthy and confident. He will need a fenced yard and lots of outdoor activity.  He’s now accepting applications at Marshallcountyhumanesociety.org, ‘Adoption Info’ tab & click on application. 

 We require a veterinarian reference if you have pets now. Your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. 

All our animals have been spayed or neutered and up to date on all preventives and shots and we are microchipped.  Dog adoption fee is $125.
