Marshall County Humane Society requires an appointment to show an animal since we are all volunteer. We do also require a home visit before finalizing adoption to check  the security of your fence if you are adopting a dog.  Our dogs are given much care and attention and we want to make sure they are in a safe and secure environment. We are  a limited intake adoption center and an all volunteer, non-profit organization. All of our animals are disease free, have been spayed/neutered and are up to date on shots. We charge a Dog adoption fee of $150 which includes a microchip. Our Cat adoption fee is $95.00. Most of our dogs will require a fenced yard. Kris was brought to us right before Christmas.  He is very sweet, seems almost totally house trained and walks well on a leash.  He has some non-contagious skin issues that we feel are from lacking good care and nutrition.  These are clearing up nicely.  He weighs 13# and will be a great family dog.
